Is it really over?! But I’m not ready to let my boys go… Wahhhhhhh!

It started innocently enough. I merely asked here what drama was good these days. I can’t even recall who first recommended it, although I do remember it was several people. But I remained unconvinced. “Shut Up: Flower Boy Band? What kind of a drama title is that?” I wondered. I mean, I gave the other “Flower Boy” drama (starring Mr. Scheduler a.k.a. Jung Il Woo) a chance earlier and quickly got bored. Perhaps I outgrew all the flower boys craze?
Oh boy was I wrong! One lazy Friday evening, I decided to check out Shut Up: Flower Boy Band and before I knew it, I was hooked. Obsessed. Searching all over to find anything related to this drama and its characters… fan-made music videos, behind the scenes clips, trailers, anything and everything… Like a hungry hyena.

I’ve been so out of the loop when it comes to Korean dramas. As I found myself getting more and more disgruntled about the K-drama offering lately, I decided to just take a break from it all. The last time this happened a couple years ago, I turned my focus to primarily watching variety shows that one entire year, including Family Outing, 1 Night 2 Days, We Got Married, Sang Sang Plus, and many others. But this time, the hiatus is much shorter and after a mere one month break, I feel ready to immerse myself back once again in the world of Kdrama land. And I confess that the hotness that is Sung Joon in Shut Up Flower Boy Band definitely helped!
To help myself get reacquainted, I did a quick research on all the upcoming dramas this month and collected their trailers in this March 2012 edition of “Trailers galore.” Like the past “Trailers galore” posts, this too will be constantly updated as new trailers get released!

Ha Jung Woo and Gong Hyo Jin in a romantic comedy movie together? I’m there! And so were over 500,000 Korean moviegoers this past weekend. Unfortunately, the reviews are far from positive.
Despite including the Daum and Naver netizens’ average movie ratings in these “Weekend box office ranking” posts, I must admit that I don’t take them too seriously, especially when the reported ratings are high. But when they’re unusually low, as in the case of Ha and Gong’s newest flick Love Fiction, this is a clear warning sign that the movie indeed falls short from what would have been expected from these talented actors. And that begs the question… how can this be?!!

Song Kang Ho. This man’s name is literally synonymous with Korean cinema of the last several years. He’s back with a movie co-starring Lee Na Young about a wolfdog that kills people. And based on the poster tagline (“There was a reason behind its killings”), it appears that Howling is not merely a “wild beast on the loose” story. Such a movie can go either way – really bad or really good – but based on the reviews, I am not betting on it being the latter. But no matter! Thanks to the joint star power of Song Kang Ho and Lee Na Young, Howling still managed to grab the number one spot at the weekend box office.
