“Goddesses of Action”
Caption: Woo-kyung is filming a fight scene.
Director: Cut!
Caption: The actors are taken aback by the fierce action sequence.
Staff: She must intend to fight for real. Even taking off her earrings.
Kim Jung Min: I was afraid they [my ears] would rip.
Caption: Woo-kyung is fully preparing herself.
Staff: Not because you want to fight for real?
Caption: The action scene begins again!
Yoo Min Kyu: Calm down!
Director: Cut!
Kim Jung Min: Ah, it hurts! I’m going to die!
Caption: Woo-kyung complaining that the fight became fiercer from earlier.
Kim Jung Min: It became fiercer than earlier.
Staff: They must have harbored a lot of grudge.
Staff: It looks like you’re fighting for real.
Kim Jung Min: It must really hurt for her.
Actress: I’m okay.
Kim Jung Min: Next time I should grab her. I keep grabbing the same person.
Kim Jung Min: I slammed my head against someone, right?
Yoo Min Kyu: That was me! I’m bleeding inside my mouth.
Kim Jung Min: Really? Oh no!
Caption: The ladies’ action scene turned into a bloody affair!
“The Expressionless Expert”
Caption: The Eye Candy members are rehearsing for a scene.
Director: Hyun-soo stiffens.
L: Frozen Hyun-soo.
Director: Lately Hyun-soo stiffens often.
L: Frozen Hyun-soo.
Yoo Min Kyu: I quickly glanced over the script for episode 8. And there are many “stiffened Hyun-soo” there too.(L laughs.)
Director: Really?
L: He always “stiffens.”
Yoo Min Kyu: He has to stiffen from the beginning.
L: Why is Hyun-soo always stiffened?
Caption: Hyun-soo is cold all the time.
Kim Min Seok: I should stiffen some time too! When I read the script, my character seems so crazy.
Caption: The other Eye Candy members are jealous of Hyun-soo’s character.
Caption: Rehearsal begins again.
Kim Min Seok: The prize is 5 million won (approx. $5000).
Caption: Expressionless.
L: Hyun-soo’s face stiffens.
“Her Blood Type”
Caption: Kyung-jong meets with Yerim and asks her for her blood type.
Kim Min Seok: Should I guess your blood type? Kim Yerim has neither an A, B, nor O blood type. She is Kim Ha-jin’s ideal type.
Director: Cut! Put the emphasis on the word “type.”
Kim Min Seok: Yes.
Director: Yeah, that’s better.
Caption: Kyung-jong entertained by his lines.
Caption: Will he succeed this time?
Kim Min Seok: Kim Yerim has neither an A, B, nor O blood type.
Kim Min Seok: (I forgot) while thinking too much of “type.”
Caption: He walks out after delivering his line.
Director: Cut! O.K.!
“Coffee and the Roly-Poly toy”
Caption: Seung-hoon and Su-ah preparing for their scene.
Jung Eui Chul: It’s hard to drink the coffee through the straw, right? Look at this.
Caption: The coffee doesn’t seem to be coming out of the straw.
Caption: Seung-hoon doing all he can do drink the coffee.
Caption: The actual filming now starts…
Director: You’re not going to really shoot up like that, right?
Jo Bo Ah: No.
Caption: Was it too fast?
Director: You stood up like a mole.
Caption: It seems she stood up too fast.
Director: Cut! Su-ah, one more time. You stood up like a roly-poly doll.
Jo Bo Ah: I was like a roly-poly doll?
Caption: And this time?
Director: Yup. O.K.!
Caption: It’s a success this time!

Ahhhhh! Thanks for the BTS posts, Blue. I came to watch SUFBB late, spurred on by your first BTS post and I’m so glad all 16 episodes were available to watch without waiting. What a fantastic drama! As others have pointed out, the angst was real, the characters so believable and lovable and “root-for-able”! I’m so far away from my teen years, but this drama made me feel the bittersweetness of this stage in life. My top ten list has a new entry!

Yes, but I was having a heck of a time trying to whittle down my favourites list to ten. Then I saw your favourites list which has waaay more than ten, so I thought I shouldn’t stress myself out by limiting myself to only ten!
