It started innocently enough. I merely asked here what drama was good these days. I can’t even recall who first recommended it, although I do remember it was several people. But I remained unconvinced. “Shut Up: Flower Boy Band? What kind of a drama title is that?” I wondered. I mean, I gave the other “Flower Boy” drama (starring Mr. Scheduler a.k.a. Jung Il Woo) a chance earlier and quickly got bored. Perhaps I outgrew all the flower boys craze?
Oh boy was I wrong! One lazy Friday evening, I decided to check out Shut Up: Flower Boy Band and before I knew it, I was hooked. Obsessed. Searching all over to find anything related to this drama and its characters… fan-made music videos, behind the scenes clips, trailers, anything and everything… Like a hungry hyena.
But when I become this obsessed, I feel this uncontrollable urge to get everyone else obsessed too. Here’s my attempt #1 to share my love via translations of the behind the scenes clip.

“Ji-hyuk’s Excuse”
Caption: Ji-hyuk’s scene of him spitting out the gum is not getting the “O.K.” from the director.
Director: You have more gum, right? Someone chew on it. In pink color.
Caption: Due to Ji-hyuk’s lack of endurance, they mobilize the help of the staff members. [Blue: Eww, they're going to make Sung Joon chew the gum that the staff members helped chew, aren't they?]

“Ji-hyuk’s First Kiss”
Caption: Ji-hyuk and Su-ah are in the middle of filming a kiss scene.
Sung Joon: I’m sorry. I’m really sorry. I’ll do it again.

I haven’t watched this yet although I have been reading the recaps over at dramabeans…I wanna be obsessed with a drama right now because I haven’t been in a while…I’m hoping SUFBB will be the one. Thanks for sharing, Blue!

Hehe, I just started on this drama after a few days of Post Moon That Embraces The Sun blues, because some readers and fellow bloggers loveee it.
Can’t wait to watch more episodes, then come back to obsess over it haha!

Similar to you I was hesitant to watch this at first because I am kind of tired of so many flower boys drama. However, since I was starting to get bored with Moon&Sun, which I eventually dropped, I decided to start on this show. Boy, did I almost miss out on such a wonderful drama! I’m just happy I discover such a gem by mistake. This show is just perfect the way it is. I love it unconditionally. It will now remain always as one of my favorite show of all time.
Oh, Sung Joon is now my new obsession. If you have any tidbits on him, please do share with us. Thank you.

It’s ending this week!!!! *curls up in fetal position*
Wait… that’s not right. I’ve been in fetal position since watching the end of Eps. 13 &14. How could fictional characters break my heart SO MUCH? I wasn’t supposed to touch those episodes til I get Eps. 15 &16 because I heard they were brutal and I wasn’t gonna spend a whole week anguished and screaming for resolution but it was so tempting, just sitting pretty there in my hard drive. I even tried to distract myself with Moon/Sun’s finale. Just when I start giggling at Hwon and Yeon Woo’s cute married life, I suddenly remember Ji Hyuk and Hyun Soo
weeping like heartbroken soulmatesshedding such manly tears, and Evpatoria Report’s “Taijin Kyofusho” starts playing in my head and I swear I totally start tearing up and getting depressed. SUFBB, what have you done to me?goldenflower

Thanks for posting this! There are at least 2 more from the same user (CJENMDRAMA) if you’re curious. (I’d be interested to see the one with Do-il / Lee Hyun-jae. There’s like a whole long middle scene where the PA is fiddling with his scarf or something. I wonder what’s that all about!) I think I read somewhere that Sung Joon’s kiss with Jo Bo-ah was his first on-screen kiss, not ever. He looks like he can kiss pretty well! Anyway thanks again!

I was as unconvinced as you were before watching the show but I kept hearing recommendations from friends about how great this show was so I finally checked it out and like you, I was HOOKED. It was SO good. THANK YOU so much for providing subs for the video.
It’s probably the most satisfying kdrama I’ve watched in a long long time. Keep spreading the love for SUFBB!
